My name is Dusty Cummins, and I am a nature and landscape photographer.

I have a varied background in art. After serving 22 years in the Coast Guard,

I managed to get 2 degrees in Graphic Design. But, it was the coding required

in graphic design that I didn't like much. I preferred a more creative outlet to

my art. At that time, photography for me was more of a hobby, much like

building models. Which I also do. I had been exposed to photography in college,

and enjoyed the process of silver gelatin printing. But it wasn't until my wife

Kristina purchased me my first Cannon DSLR, it quickly became apparent that

I was enjoying a new found freedom, and I decided that this was where my

future was taking me.

I always try to express my view on the landscape in a way that represents my personal interpretation of the area that I'm shooting. I want it to be natural, raw, and evoke an emotional response. To share with the viewer the response that I felt taking the shot.

I've been taking pictures for about 4 years now. I've done art festivals and have been in a gallery. Recently I decided to start this website. It will showcase many of my favorite shots. Some of which will also be for sale. I hope you enjoy them.
